It felt serendipitous to brew Smug’s third instalment around Hop-City with one of the festival’s most anticipated breweries, Latvia’s Arpus.

Starting with the hops, we went for a US & Australian mix Citra & Mosaic for the inimitable passion fruit, papaya and melon melee, plus Vic Secret, Enigma, and Galaxy to drive home the dankness.

London Fog yeast was used for it’s ability to handle massive ABVs without breaking a sweat, while contributing some juicy mango esters, while an overcharged oat addition to the malt bill keeps everything extra silky & pillowy.
