Northern Monk — Patrons Project 1.01
Coffee Porter
North Star // Rwanda Gashonga
Tom Joy // Raw Emotions
“In our short history collaboration is a big part of what we are, this project is all about showcasing our Patrons. First up to the plate is our rock star photographer Tom Joy, born in Aberdeen but based in Leeds this guy is kicking ass and taking names with projects with some of the best Independent folks in Yorkshire. Dubbed Partons Project 1.01, we are going to be pairing 3 of Tom’s prints with three different blends of coffee from our friends at North Star Coffee Roasters. The prints Tom has chosen to showcase some of his best work and the coffee we used in this porter is from the best regions from around the world.
The best thing about this project is we are using a peel and reveal label, showcasing his print on the outer label and when you peel it, it has the story about the print, some words from North Star about the blend used and words from our headbrewer Brian on how he combined the flavours from the coffee to work together with the lusciousness of our porter!”
