Sweet Dram — Whisky Amaro
A Modern Scottish Dram
The world’s first Scotch whisky-based amaro Designed to sip stirred down over ice or topped with soda. The base is a blend of 3 casks: 3-year-old North British virgin oak, Invergordon 12-year-old sherry refill and Ardmore 7-year-old bourbon 1st fill. Far from making it smoky, the peated Ardmore adds body and binds the many layers of natural flavour. We infuse 9 botanicals: allspice, hibiscus, coriander, lovage, kola, quassia, rhubarb, fresh lemon peel and lingonberry. We don’t add sugar, it is sweetened purely with a blend of blossom honey from Sussex and local urban honey from rooftop hives in Edinburgh. The result is an aromatic, perfectly calibrated spirit that’s synergistically bitter, dry and sweet and the bright, organic colour is completely natural, achieved by the mixture of brick orange rhubarb and kola, magenta hibiscus and Santa-red lingonberry.
